This building's foundation sank when the reactive clay
it was built on, shrank due to a temporary lack of ground
water. The shrinkage caused this crack to open up -
2" wide in places!
Right:
To resolve this problem, first we tested the soil to
understand just how strong it was, and to allow us to
select the right treatment from a range of treatments
available to us.
Left:
Then we drilled holes every 1200 mm along the wall.
The holes were up to 1800 mm below the footing.
Right: Then
one of our specially trained operators injected a
patented URETEK resin into the area under the foundations,
where it expanded immediately causing the ground to
compact.

Finally, because we were able to compact the ground
adequately, the foundations were lifted back into place.
The whole process took less than a day.
Where the soil which is supporting
the foundations of a house has shifted, Uretek can
re-substantiate the soil and lift the house back onto
level.
We use our laser technology to get the building
back to an exact level. Cracks in the walls and
ceilings are often closed completely during this
process.
Most houses only take one or two days to complete.
